"The habit of physical activity"

Hello. My name is Yamamoto, and I am an active caregiver.

Today, I would like to write about the importance of physical activity. Caregiving can involve a wide range of situations, from those who are bedridden to those who can perform daily activities independently to some extent.

For those in the latter group, I encourage them to move their bodies as much as possible. Even a little physical activity, such as simple indoor exercises or walks with our accompaniment, helps prevent negative feelings like depression.

Additionally, physical activity is crucial for preventing the aging of bones and muscles. Even young people often experience muscle loss and a feeling of heaviness after just a few days of being bedridden. The same applies to the elderly, and lack of activity can increase the risk of injuries and falls.

There is also a theory that simply taking a walk to a nearby park can increase opportunities to interact with people and nature, which in turn can help prevent dementia and aging.

Even if it's just for a short time each day, let's make physical activity a habit.
